Booker T. Washington 56, Coweta 42
TULSA -- Booker T. Washington coach Rabu Leyva kept sending waves of players at Coweta, and the Tigers were powerless to hold on to the basketball. The Hornets forced 31 Coweta turnovers and rolled to a 56-42 win at the Mabee Center on Friday morning.
The Class 5A No. 3 Hornets advance to the championship game -- for the first time since 2013 -- where they'll take on Pryor or Woodward.
Camryn Fennell led Booker T. Washington (24-5) with 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting, and Rhys Anderson tossed in 12 points for the Hornets.
Coweta, which led 14-13 after the first quarter, lost its traction in the second quarter with 11 turnovers, which saw the Tigers trail 28-16 at halftime after scoring only two points in the second period.
Linca Brice led Coweta with 14 points, and Madison Wheat connected on 4-of-8 field goal attempts for 12 points. The Tigers finished the season 15-13.
