OOLOGAH — Chase Kime is set to become Oologah’s next head football coach, according to multiple sources this weekend. The decision could be finalized as soon as Monday with Oologah’s school board set to meet at 6 p.m.

Under “action items to consider,” Item III.D.2 is listed as “to discuss the employment of athletic director and/or football coach and/or fifth grade teacher…”

Also on the school board agenda is to accept the resignation of Brandon Craig, effective April 24. Craig served as Oologah’s head football coach for the past nine seasons, compiling a 77-34 record and three runner-up finishes in Class 4A from 2014 to 2016.

Craig revealed in early February that he was leaving Oologah to become head coach at Siloam Springs High School in Arkansas.

Kime, an Oologah alum, served as defensive coordinator under Craig. In recent years he has had recent graduates, Jimmy McKinney and Brock Martin, sign with Kansas State and Oklahoma State, respectively.
