Norman North is slated to name Justin Jones as the Timberwolves’ new head football coach at Monday night’s board meeting, several sources have indicated.
The Oklahoman’s Jacob Unruh first reported Norman North’s intention to hire Jones on Monday afternoon.
Jones, Bishop McGuinness’ head coach the past seven seasons, has not confirmed the potential move, and a text to him Monday morning went unanswered.
The move, though, figures to be a done deal, considering Bishop McGuinness has already named Bryan Pierce as the Irish’s new head coach. That was also first reported by the Oklahoman.
Jones leaves Bishop McGuinness with a 68-22 record, including two Class 5A state championship game appearances in the last two seasons.
