During Fall Break, I was in Dallas visiting my brothers and I had the pleasure of eating at Celebration Restaurant for the first time.

I came away loving this place!

Established in 1971, Celebration Restaurant has been serving patrons excellent food, family style, and in a comfortable environment for many years. After my visit, I can see why it has been so successful for such a long time.

Dining at Celebration works a little different than most places and I think the concept is awesome…especially if you are hungry.

Each table gets unlimited rolls and cornbread (fantastic) and then each person gets a salad or soup.

You pick a main course (chicken fried steak, fried chicken, pork chop, meatloaf etc.) and then you can get additional ones for small price, like $4 or something like that.

I went with the chicken fried steak with jalapeńo cream gravy, and I only had one serving, which was plenty!

In addition to each person picking their own main dish, the table as a group then picks three family style sides to share.

The sides are unlimited and free of charge!

My table went with okra, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese.

This combination created one of the better-looking food plates that I have had in a long time!

My brother went with the fried chicken and he let me have a piece and it was excellent as well.

In fact, I think I will be going with the fried chicken the next time instead of the chicken fried steak.

After eating way too much of the above, it was time for dessert and the massive piece of Oreo cheesecake just put the entire meal over the top for me!

It was so good and just an extremely large piece. Man did it hit the spot!

Other desserts of choice at the table were homemade apple crisp with vanilla ice cream and coconut cream pie.

Overall, this lunch was just so good and afterwards I was just completely stuffed.

After lunch, we just went back to the house to watch football and take a much-needed nap.

If you are ever in the North Dallas area, I highly recommend the lunch or dinner at Celebration Restaurant.
